Our Programs

Our program is designed to provide educational and life skills training to all youth through partnerships with local middle/high schools and neighborhood community centers. We will offer curriculum that supports the needs of our youth and helps them advance to the next level. Our educational and life skills training will include:

  • Conflict resolution
  • Interviewing skills
  • Self-esteem
  • Money management
  • Critical thinking
  • Credit building
  • Resume/job search

On a weekly basis, high school/college students and teachers will tutor students after school. This is a good way for our high school and college students to obtain volunteer hours. The main areas of concentration will include:

  • Math
  • Reading (ELA)
  • Language

To help kids seeking a profession in sports but not necessarily as an athlete, we plan to offer a multi-media program. The program will allow kids to conduct live streaming on social media platforms during tournaments, offer play-by-play analysis for championship games and interview players, coaches, and parents. The program will offer a multi-media certificate for students who complete the required activities. We will work with multi-media/journalism departments at local colleges to develop a reasonable curriculum that students will enjoy. Our multi-media training will include:

  • Social media marketing
  • Interviewing
  • Video production
  • Analytics
  • Editing
  • Live streaming

"NBNSA’s aspiration to more broadly impact youth in Delaware through their facilities and offerings will positively impact an expansive pool of student athletes both academically and athletically."
